The history of ATEF dates back to 1961 as Baku Dry Type Transformer Plant. The enterprise mainly supplied dry-type distribution transformers to the union republics of the former USSR.
After privatization in 1997, the plant began to upscale and was transformed to ATEF Group of Companies, a large production enterprise with numerous divisions. The Head office is located in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Immediately after the merger and harbouring an intent to diversify into the more challenging transformer sector, the company invested in the production of oil Immersed transformers, as well as the new-generation of cast-resin dry-type transformers of the GEOFOL type. Since then, ATEF Group of Companies has been a leader in providing Products and solutions upto 525kV for Power Transmission, Distribution, Utilities, Railway Industry
by offering Distribution , Power Transformers, Switchgears, Transmission Towers
Steel Structures and other HV/MV electrical equipments.
